This project is located near Round Lake in Hayward, Wisconsin. We repaired several areas on this log cabin. Most of the rot in this entry area was caused by water splashing onto the bottom logs and continually getting them wet. Over time, the moisture built up in the bottom logs to the point that rot began to form.

Logs with too much moisture in them will rot. As part of the solution for this log home, the owners put up gutters as a way to keep further damage at bay.

We use dried cedar for our replacement logs. Because of its inherent resistance to rot, we provide a guarantee against future rot on logs that we replace. Check out our warranty!

Customer testimonial from this job: "We are very happy with your work. I was impressed by not only the final results but also for how clean the area was left by your crew." B. Johnson, Hayward, WI
