Bayfield, WI -- We restored this pre-1900 hewn log cabin in the Spring of 2009. There were rotted logs and the place had not had stain or chink work done on it for many years.

We restored the outside including: (For more information, click on each service.)

With historical places like this one, especially hewn log cabins, it makes sense to keep the traditional gray color on the logs and chinking.

Of course, it would be be possible to change the look by using a wood-tone color. In this case, the owners chose to keep the traditional gray color to the chinking and the logs.
