In 2002, we dismantled and reassembled this 1890's vintage log home. The home is owned by the Browns and is located in the Park Falls / Minocqua / Hayward, Wisconsin area.

There were many rotted logs in this home. We began by carefully numbering and taking apart the original structure of the home. In this case a new foundation was constructed about 50 feet away from the original site.

Reassembly involved re-stacking the logs as they were originally placed and making necessary repairs or replacements as we went up.

We worked with a great group of ‘old-time’ carpenters from the Fifield, WI area to complete this project. There are many vintage turn-of-the-century log homes around Wisconsin and Minnesota that were built with great care and craftsmanship. Many times, they were covered with siding at some point in their lives. This, in some cases, has preserved these log homes quite well. We have done a number of these recycled home/cabin rebuilds over the years.
