The sauna sat directly on the ground, which caused the bottom logs to rot.

To start the repair, the building had to be raised off the ground.

Once it was up off the ground, the next step was to replace the rotten base logs.

We have considerable experience in restoring log buildings with historic significance. For example:

- Captain Forbe House Museum, Milton, MA (2006)
- Cabins at the North Rim Grand Canyon National Park, AZ (2005)
- Riverview Campground - St. Croix State Park, MN (2005)
- Wirtanen Pioneer Farms, MN (2005)

We take great pride in the fact that we have successfully restored a number of log buildings that represent a piece of history. We recognize their importance and approach the work to restore them with the respect due buildings with such history behind them.
